The top Accelerated Readers for the year 2001-2002 as of 5/7/02 are:
(1) Brittney Thomas 7th Grade 249 pts.
(2) Necole Gladney 7th Grade 177 pts.
(3) Roman Gladney 7th Grade 172 pts.
(4) Jenise Burks 7th Grade 141 pts.
(5) Jasmine Browder 7th Grade 100 pts.
This has been a great year for Accelerated Reader and we look forward to next year as we will be getting the Star Reading Program. The Star Program will allow students to take a test to determine their accurate reading level. This will enable teachers to ensure that students are reading on appropriate levels.
There will be an Ice Cream/Movie Party for all the students who have accumulated at least 40 points this year. The party will be on May 24, 2002 at 1:00 P.M.
New Furniture
The Library/Media Center will be getting new furniture very soon. We have already received new computer furniture and chairs. We expect our new tables and chairs to arrive by the end of this school year.
